Hi, I’m Lyndsay, otherwise known as Coach Lu! — Founder of True North Kettlebell Club and Total Recovery Massage Therapy & Wellness. I’m a Registered Massage Therapist, Certified Kettlebell Instructor, Certified Movement Coach, Master of Sport in Kettlebell Lifting, and a proud Team Canada Kettlebell Sport Athlete.
I bring together strength, recovery, and movement in a way that’s functional, restorative, and empowering. I’m passionate about foundational strength, restorative mobility, and helping people discover what’s possible through kettlebell sport—whether your goal is to feel better day-to-day, enhance your own sport performance or stand on the kettlebell competition platform.
I’ve seen the powerful impact proper technique and thoughtful conditioning can have—not just in my own recovery journey, but in the lives of countless others. That’s why I’ve made it my mission to change how we think about fitness and recovery. One form does not fit all.

From Outdoor Bootcamps to a Focused Kettlebell Sport + Recovery Club
True North Kettlebell Club was born outside—literally. In 2021, during lockdowns and restrictions, we started as a small group training outdoors, finding strength, community, and fresh air in uncertain times.
As things reopened, we moved into a studio space, growing into a welcoming hub for kettlebell-based fitness, small group sessions, and recovery-focused movement. We built a strong, loyal crew of lifters who showed up not just for the workouts—but for each other.
Now, we’re entering a new phase.
True North is shifting from general bootcamp-style fitness classes toward a more refined, sport and recovery-focused practice.
While you’ll still get a great full-body workout, the approach is changing:
